THE RABBITER JOINS FREELANCER.COM LOGO COMPETITION

The biggest and most famous freelancer website Getafreelancer.com is changing its name to Freelancer.com. The website is organizing a competition for logo design that the Rabbiter joined with the logo "Dove Hands".

The "Dove Hands" logo aims at suggesting the added value to the business relationships that Getafreelancer.com offers. While handshaking is the symbol of business agreements and flawless relations, the dove symbol made with two hands in the logo implies to the freedom of the bond between employers and providers - no need to appoint meetings, no need to sign long contracts and prepare for presentations in the office, etc. "Dove Hands" logo shows that freelancing combines two things: business and freedom.

The logo is stylish, the text font is corporate, the colors are rather dark, yet vivid, the brand name is easy to read. There is a color relation between the text and the illustration. The illustration is on the top of the letters "free" in order to put an accent on this part of the brand name.

The illustration can be used for different purposes on the website, including for bullets and favicons.

Getafreelancer.com will announce the top finalists on Monday the 23rd of November, 2009. The top finalists will be chosen based on a variety of factors including originality, creativity, ingenuity, and the artists efforts to promote their design. Following this, the final top 10 will be announced on Wednesday the 26th November.
